GridRoll — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026 · See also the Terms of Use

The short version: GridRoll collects no data. None. Nothing is collected, stored by us, or sent anywhere. Its App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected", and this policy explains why that is true.

Who provides GridRoll

GridRoll is a chronological photo and video gallery for iPhone and iPad, provided by AYDA Digital (Mehrdad Yazdani), United Kingdom. Contact: forderit@gmail.com.

What we collect

Nothing. GridRoll has no account, no sign-in, no server and no networking code of any kind. It cannot upload, sync or transmit your photos, videos or anything about you — to us or to anyone else. We cannot see your library, your names for videos, or how you use the app.

Photo library access

GridRoll asks for read/write access to your photo library solely to display your photos and videos and, when you choose, to delete, favourite, share or move items between albums. Deletions always go through iOS's own confirmation dialog and land in the device's Recently Deleted folder — GridRoll never removes anything silently. Everything happens on your device; the app holds no copy of any item.

What stays on your device

Sharing from the app

If you use Share, iOS's standard share sheet hands the item to the app or service you pick (Messages, Mail, AirDrop and so on). From that point the recipient's or that service's own terms apply; GridRoll is not involved and cannot recall it.

Security and its limits

Because nothing leaves your device, your gallery is exactly as private as your device: anyone who can unlock your iPhone or iPad can open GridRoll and see everything in it. Keep a passcode or Face ID / Touch ID on, and lock or sign out of shared devices. We are not responsible for anyone who gains access to your device, or for what others do with items you choose to share.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf — all of it is already in your hands, on your device. If you have a concern you can still contact us, and you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

GridRoll is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. Any change that meant the app started collecting data would be reflected in its App Store privacy label first.
