Avaz — Terms of Use

Last updated: 17 August 2026

1. What Avaz is

Avaz is a karaoke voice-effects app for iPhone and iPad, provided by AYDA Digital (United Kingdom). It adds live effects (reverb, echo, pitch and similar) to your voice through the microphone while you sing along to music playing in another app. By downloading or using Avaz you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Hearing safety and loud sound

3. Music and third-party content

Avaz does not host, embed or supply any songs or videos. Backing tracks come from whatever other app you choose to play (for example YouTube, Apple Music or Spotify). That content belongs to those services and their rights-holders and is subject to their own terms; it may be unavailable, blocked in your region, or removed at any time, and that is outside our control. Only perform, record or share content you have the right to use.

4. Recording and your copies

Avaz itself does not record, save or upload your voice. If you record a performance using another app, you are responsible for that recording and for keeping your own copies of it.

5. Security and its limits

Avaz stores no personal information and has no accounts, so there is nothing of yours held on our servers. Anything you record or share using other apps is protected only by your device and those apps' own accounts and links. Anyone who can unlock your device, sign in as you, or holds a link you shared can see it. Keep your device locked, use two-factor authentication where offered, and sign out on shared devices. We are not responsible for what others do with information you shared, or for anyone who gains access to your account, device or links — whether a partner, family member, employer or anyone else.

6. Data loss

Avaz is provided free and "as is". We make no promise that any setting or recording is kept or delivered. We are not liable for lost, deleted or corrupted data. Keep your own backups of anything that matters to you.

7. Lawful use

You may use Avaz only for lawful, non-abusive purposes — for example, not to record or broadcast people without their consent, or to infringe anyone's copyright. You alone are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you are. We may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

8. No warranty and limits on liability

Avaz is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. Because Avaz is free, our total liability to you for anything arising from the app is capped at £50. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere as a consumer, you keep any protections your local law gives you that cannot be taken away by agreement. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to downloads from the App Store, and Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use Avaz after a change means you accept the updated terms.
